When we enter the House of the Lord this Sabbath, let us do so in humility, keeping in mind the majesty of God. Have your ears open and your mouth shut. Don’t make rash promises, and don’t be hasty in bringing matters before God. It is foolish to make mindless offerings to God. For God is in heaven, and you are on earth, therefore let your words be few. Ecclesiastes 5:1-2. Adapted

We have, through inattention and carelessness, lost the appropriate sense of the Majesty of the Creator of the Universe. This Sabbath, let us assume a posture of humility as we worship God. And let us carry that sense of awe and humility into our daily fellowship with Him in the coming week.
