There are two truths to keep in mind. The first is that Satan was overcome on the cross. Jesus has won the victory. Secondly, the snake still wriggles and still has venom.

As the Apostle Paul confesses in his letter to the Romans, we are conflicted. Ours is a now-and-not-yet reality. We need to stay vigilant. Stay ready. And depend on Jesus to sustain us.
