God is not a cosmic vending machine into which we insert our quarter and make our selection of what we think we need to make us happy. Don’t pray God will give you what you want. Pray instead that He would make you into what He wants. Reorient your approach to God, He will reorient your heart’s desires and appetites for His glory.
