Another year draws to a close. Sigh.

What Now 2 Do? It is our practice to reflect on the year past. And turn our focus to the new year dawning. Man plans and God laughs. Proverbs 16:9.

Note 1: “Auld lang syne” translates to “old long since,” or “for old times’ sake“. This Scottish phrase goes back to the late 1600s. In 1788, Robert Burns, the well known Scottish poet, adapted it into a longer poem. Guy Lombardo is credited with giving the song prominence in New Year’s Eve broadcasts in the early 1900s. Today, the tune and the first few lines are imbedded in our consciousness, and seep out every December 31st.
