On Gratitude And Love This Thanksgiving Week

A Debt Of Gratitude

Thanksgiving is a debt. It is something we owe. When we bring our thanks before God, we are recognizing Him as the source of every blessing, every protection, every heartbeat, every rescue from every trial, even when His chosen form of deliverance is just supplying us the perseverance we need to see it through. We have no life, no hope, no health, no grace, no strength, no peace, no holiness, no anything apart from what He has given and continues to give us. So if you’re holding an outstanding debt of gratitude today, fulfill your obligation to deliver your thanks to Him. He deserves it all. If not now, when?

Job On Gratitude

Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Job 1:20 ESV

On Love

Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:2 NIV
